Congratulations to Iona Frost who won the girl’s +55 kgs, Annmarie Wishart who was 2nd in the girl’s -50kgs and Chelsea Wishart who was 3rd in the girl’s open at the recent AMA championships in Nottingham. The three girls were also placed 2nd in the team event. Well done also to Calum Robb won the Men’s +80 kg and the Men’s Open Section.
Take a tournament, almost any tournament. Here is how the typical day runs for the black belts. There are black belts who paid to attend the tournament sitting around waiting for their division to begin or perhaps warming up on their own. Suddenly, a call comes out over the speaker system asking for black belts to report to a ring to judge... yet no one comes.
One of my son’s was looking on the Internet for “Jets” for a school paper and we got distracted on Youtube. I found this video and just had to share. I hope a few of you like the beauty of the Jets like I do.
P.S. I think I was on one of those jets landing in the cross winds. Well maybe not that one, but it felt very similar. I couldn’t see the runway in the direction we were pointing.
